  • Jordanian born in Jerusalem 1965.
  • Calligraphy became his passion at a young age, influenced by a master of Arabic calligraphy.
  • Worked as a calligrapher, draftsman and designer at daily newspapers, magazine and advertising agencies.
  • Worked as a calligrapher and draftsman with the Jordan Armed Forces 1984-1988.
  • Studied the art and rules of Arabic calligraphy at the hand of the master Iraqi calligrapher Abbas al-Baghdadi, and is keen to maintain this Arab and Islamic heritage.
  • Currently works out of his private workshop and office of Islamic calligraphy, drawing, design and advertising.
  • Works in the Science International Islamic University – Faculty of Islamic Arts and Architecture – calligrapher.

Participations and prizes:

  • Plastic Arts exhibition for mosques and Islamic antiquities drawings, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Jordan 1999.
  • Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition, Ministry of Awqaf in Jordan 1999.
  • Prize in Thuluth calligraphy, the international Abdul-Hamid al-Kateb competition in Syria 2005.
  • The Silk Road Festival for writing the largest Holy Quran book in the world (the al-Sham Mushaf), Damascus 2005.

  • Second prize in Thuluth style and  second prize in Jalli-diwani style in the competition held in Morocco on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.).

  • Painting (al-Shahadatain) in the Permanent Museum Mecca al-Mukarrama 2012.
